The purpose of a graphic design retainer is to reserve and pre-plan a creative professionals time. It is ideal for those who need marketing materials needed on a regular basis, but don’t want to hire a full-time designer. It is paid up front monthly before the work is ordered. It is an efficient and effective tool for you and I. You have the certainty of knowing that your projects are a high priority and it helps me to plan my workload accordingly.

Program Details
  • 3 month minimum commitment. At the end of 3 months, I will re-evalaute your program to ensure the number of hours are fitting your business needs.

  • Retainer includes a set number of hours each month. Overage in time will be billed at my standard hourly rate. 

  • Unused hours expire. They do not roll over each month as that would defeat the purpose of allocating retainer time each month for projects. I will be in regular communication with you regarding the amount of hours used and if you are getting close to your maximum

  • You will get a detailed invoice each month. Each project with the hours allocated to it will be noted in your monthly statement.

What type of services are offered in the graphic designer retainer program?
  • Graphic design - logos for new products/services, icons, and typography treatments

  • Print materialsadvertisements, sell sheets, direct mailers, brochures, newsletters

  • Digital materials - social media graphics, blog banners

  • Web updates & maintenance - content, graphics and web maintenance can be provided for select customers

  • Client meetings and communication - meeting in person, over-the-phone, email and texts

  • Services do not include additional costs like custom and stock photography purchases, printing, and web coding

  • Additional services are available upon request for an additional fee

How does it work?

1. Fill out the form below. We'll set up a 30-minute Skype, phone or in-person meeting so I can learn more about your needs are. I want to learn about you, your business and goals. We’ll go over your business needs and upcoming projects. The retainer program is typically for repeat clients, so if we haven't yet worked together, I usually start with branding, website graphics, or other design materials first. 

2. First payment. Once the paperwork is completed and the first retainer fee is paid, I will setup all your projects needed for the month in my calendar . From there, keep track of how much time is being spent on each project as well as time remaining for the month. Prior to the 2nd month, we will have a conference call or video chat to review the next month's priorities. Payment for the month ahead will be due on the 1st of each month. 

3. Repeat. We will repeat the process every month for the remainder of the months you select. 

4. Reevaluate. At the end of your contract, we will review the program to see if you want to adjust the number of hours reserved each month before signing again!
